So according to the calendar, it has been fall for a month now but only today did the temperature drop down below 85.  Last week when we went to the pumpkin patch/fall festival at a local nursery, it was just below 90 and my sister decided that it would be the perfect time to wear sweaters and boots (spoiler alert: it was not).

Since I was little, my birthday was surrounded by fall activities. (Duh, Emily, you were born in THE MIDDLE OF FALL!!)  My birthday celebrations have often been fall themed so spending the afternoon in the pumpkin patch seemed to be the proper way to celebrate my twentieth trip around the sun.

Although the leaves don’t change in Florida and the air is never really crisp or cool, I appreciated the efforts of Flamingo Road Nursery with their pumpkins, fall decor, and hayrides! We had such a lovely time, especially with the cookies from their farmers market and the mac n’ cheese from their BBQ restaurant!

If you live in South Florida, this is a super cool fall place and admission to their fall festival (held every weekend in fall) is free! There was so much to do for kids (corn mazes, pumpkin painting, hayrides, meeting Cars characters).

Does anybody have any fun fall traditions? Let me know in the comments below!
