When in Rome (and Vatican City)

So let’s talk about Rome. The Vatican was cool…and that’s it.

Right before I left for my trip, I got REALLY, really, really nervous. I was a little bit sick and I was worried about flying with such an upset stomach. I had a layover in Lisbon and my first flight was delayed so I missed my connecting flight. By the time I finally made it to Rome, I was so exhausted. We went straight into a 4 hour walking tour and I felt like I was going to die the whole time.

This was probably not the best way to start off my trip but I tried to keep a positive attitude. I think that I would’ve liked Rome better if I was more into the art, but if I am being honest, I felt like most of the art was so similar that I really couldn’t tell one artist from another. We did have a wonderful tour guide at the Vatican Museum and I learned a lot about the art there!

My favorite part of Rome was definitely the pizza (from a restaurant that I do not know the name of). I will probably go back to Rome to see the Roman Forum and the Colosseum.

What are your thoughts and opinions on Rome?
